Robo-One 11, a Closer Look, 17 Days Left

RIBO-Labs will be covering Robo-One 11. Although we will not be there in person we will post information about the robots competing, and once the event is over we will post who won and details about the event.

Robo-One was started by Nishimura-san.

Here is the schedule of Robo-One 11: 

March 24, 2007(Saturday)   Participation qualification examination and preliminary contest demonstration
9:00- Player receipt
10:30-10:50 Opening
10:50-12:30 Preliminary contest demonstration
12:30-13:00 Rest
13:00-19:30 Preliminary contest demonstration(The rest is placed at the right time. )
19:30 Those who participate final tournament decision and ending

March 25, 2007(Saturday)   Final tournament
10:30- Opening
11:00- Lightweight class and 16 games the weight class round
13:20- ROBO-ONE space rally demonstration
13:35- Lightweight class and the second weight class round eight games
14:40- ROBO-ONE support enterprise PR
15:10- New theme song announcement
14:40- Quarterfinal main opening
Lightweight class, weight class semifinal, and 3rd place decision war
16:50- Lightweight class and weight class tournament finals
17:10- Integrated playoff
18:00 Ending

If you get tickets in advance they will cost 1,500 Yen (about $13 USD), or if you buy them there they will cost 2,000 Yen (about $17 USD). To buy them an advance click on the link below, and use [code: 31716] to get them for 1,500 Yen.

The Robo-One that comes in first place will win 700,000 Yen (about $6,055 USD)!

The theme for Robo-One 11 will be Jump Rope. This means that you will get extra points if your bot Jump Ropes. Most of the robots in the top 25 complete this.

Some of the competitors are going to be:

Yokozuna Great (also known as: Yokozuna Bot) with Dr. GIY

Dainamaizar with the Sugiura family

Metallic Fighter with Morinaga Eiichiro

Rooks Pawn with Matt and Jen Bauer from the US will not be going because of some stuff that came up…

On March 2nd all the entries had to be in. So on the 3rd there was a total of 186 robot signed up. Out of those there will probably only be 150 competing.

Robots Dreams is calling the it: “The Most Exciting Robot Event Ever!”.
